Expected value is negative, by design

Lotteries return less in prizes than they take in ticket sales — that difference funds the prize pool, retailers, administration and, in most jurisdictions, public programmes. The consequence is arithmetic rather than opinion: across enough tickets, the average player loses money. A ticket is reasonably priced as entertainment and unreasonably priced as an investment, and no strategy changes that.

No system changes the odds

The probability attached to any combination is fixed by the game's matrix. Number selection methods, frequency analysis, "due" numbers, prediction software and pattern systems do not alter it, because past draws contain no information about future ones. Structured coverage methods such as wheeling do guarantee lower-tier prizes under stated conditions — by buying more combinations, not by improving any probability.

Age and legality

Lottery play is restricted by age and by jurisdiction, and the minimum age differs between them. It is your responsibility to know what applies where you live. This site is not directed at anyone below the legal age to play.

Odds figures may change

Odds, prize tiers and rules are set by game operators and are revised when a game's matrix changes. Figures on this site are rounded for readability and may be superseded. The operator's own published odds table is the only authoritative source.

If gambling is causing harm

Free, confidential support exists and is independent of any operator.
